This CAC-endorsed Premium Gem 1917-S dime displays mattelike luster cast in champagne and warm olive-gold hues with slivers of blue, violet, and plum in the peripheral regions. The execution of the motifs is exemplary, and the surfaces are free of bothersome abrasions. With Full Bands, this early San Francisco issue is scarce so well preserved.
