Description

1877 Cent, PR65 Red and Brown
Mostly Red CAC Proof

1877 1C PR65 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. A sharp Gem, glittering copper-orange and rose-gold on the obverse, with areas of lemon-yellow and peach on the reverse. A few daubs of forest-green and russet toning in the right reverse margin are all that keep this CAC-endorsed Gem proof from a full Red designation. Eye appeal is spectacular for the grade. Population: 84 in 65 (2 in 65+) Red and Brown, 12 finer. CAC: 33 in 65, 6 finer (7/19).(Registry values: N4719)
