Description

1946-D Half Dollar, MS68
Sole Finest Example Certified

1946-D 50C MS68 NGC. More than 14,000 1946-D Walking Liberty half dollars have been sent to NGC over the past three decades, one of the highest submissions totals for any issue in the series. Of those, this is the only example to ever have been awarded an MS68 assessment. None are so-graded at PCGS, making this the single finest 1946-D half dollar available to collectors.

Both sides are delicately toned in pale chestnut-gold, orange, yellow, blue, green, and violet patina with considerable brilliance remaining. Satiny mint luster shines from nearly pristine surfaces. A strongly struck example in impeccable, unmatched MS68 condition. Census: 1 in 68, 0 finer (3/20).(Registry values: N4719)
