1872 2C MS64 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. Sharply struck and free from visible carbon, the surfaces are exceptionally clean and mark-free for the grade. Each side presents a tan-brown appearance with hints of gold. The luster quality is only slightly muted, the grade-limiting factor. The 1872 has the lowest (and last) mintage of business strikes in the two cent series, with only 65,000 pieces struck. Population: 35 in 64 (2 in 64+) Red and Brown, 22 finer. CAC: 9 in 64, 17 finer (1/18).
