1800 Half Dime

1800 H10C -- Obverse Repaired -- NGC Details. Unc. V-1, LM-1, R.3. Upon first glance, the present Heraldic Eagle half dime appears to be a magnificent example, since it has semi-prooflike fields, exquisite design detail, and lovely orange and rose-red toning. Close inspection reveals a smoothed and re-engraved area on the obverse that affects stars 9 through 12 and the nearby dentils. Struck from clashed dies.
