Description
1952-D Franklin, MS67 Full Bell Lines
Beautiful Luster and Toning
The Finest PCGS Coin We Have Seen
1952-D 50C MS67 Full Bell Lines PCGS. Registry Set
collectors will take note of this remarkable Franklin half dollar,
as it represents the finest quality available for the 1952-D. PCGS
and NGC combined list only seven MS67 Full Bell Lines
representatives with none finer; a trio of MS67 coins without sharp
bell lines is also reported at NGC, although no PCGS coins are
comparable (2/19). In a PCGS holder, this piece will be of special
importance for Franklin half dollar specialists. We have never
before offered a PCGS coin in this grade, and we have only seen one
of the NGC coins. This piece is every bit a Superb Gem, showing frosty mint luster that is devoid of abrasions. Beautiful original toning on the obverse spans shades of sun-gold, crimson, forest-green, and russet, leaving the reverse with a delicate champagne tint that deepens around the borders.
