Description
(1792-94) TOKEN Kentucky Token, Engrailed Edge AU55 PCGS. CAC. Breen-1162, W-8805, R.6. Different references refer to the edge as reeded, gripped, or engrailed. Much rarer than the usual Plain Edge variety. A medium brown piece with slight wear on CAUSE and a trivial fingerprint beneath the scroll. A thin mint-made lamination crosses the obverse between 10:30 and 1:30. The die alignment is close to medal turn. A loupe reveals only minor obverse contact.Ex: Orlando FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2007), lot 220, which realized $1,380.
