1839 $5 AU55 PCGS. Mint State examples of the first-year Liberty Head half eagle are rare, but attractive AU coins are relatively collectible. This AU55 piece displays sharp central motifs and bright yellow-gold surfaces with luster in the protected regions. Scattered abrasions are apparent on each side.
