Description

1904-S Dime, MS66+
Tied for the Second Finest at PCGS

1904-S 10C MS66+ PCGS Secure. CAC. Ex: Simpson. Few collectors sought out the San Francisco dimes at the time this coin was issued, and surviving examples today are seldom encountered. The 1904-S is considered one of the key issues of the series. There were 13 Barber dime issues with mintages less than 1 million coins, not including the 1894-S. The 1904-S is one of those with a production of only 800,000 pieces. This issue ranks sixth out of those 13 for the lowest Mint State PCGS population. This impressive Premium Gem exhibits a bold strike and satin luster beneath gorgeous gold and iridescent luster. Population: 8 in 66 (2 in 66+), 1 finer. CAC: 4 in 66, 1 finer (5/16).(Registry values: N4719)
