Description

1916-D Mercury Dime, AU53
Partial Golden Toning

1916-D 10C AU53 PCGS. Silver-gray surfaces reveal olive and gold accents over generous portions of mint luster. Plenty of sharp strike definition also exists, an exception being flatness in Liberty's hair and the lower left wing of the cap. A moderate abrasion occurs on the cheek, and a less noticeable mark is to be found on the upper part of the fasces. An AU example of one of the most coveted of all 20th century silver issues, and the undisputed key to the Mercury dime series.
