1863 25C PR66 PCGS. CAC. Briggs 4-D. The date is high and
slopes upward, while the verticals and QUAR. are lightly doubled on
the reverse. Only 460 pieces were struck, and this Premium Gem is
among the finest surviving 1863 proofs. The surfaces display rich
violet toning with blue, sea-green, and lavender accents on both
sides. The marvelous coloration provides this sharp, deeply
mirrored Premium Gem proof wonderful visual appeal to match its
outstanding technical quality. Population: 11 in 66 (2 in 66+), 0
