Description

1841 Half Dollar, MS64
Impressive Quality, Multicolor Toning

1841 50C WB-101 MS64 PCGS. CAC. Semiprooflike reflectivity resides beneath richly iridescent rings of multicolor toning throughout the Choice surfaces of this impressive Seated half. All early dates in the series are rare in near-Gem or finer condition, and the 1841 is no exception. While many 1841s are weakly struck -- sometimes dramatically so on the eagle's neck and head -- this example is quite sharp in those areas. PCGS reports just one finer coin. Population: 6 in 64, 1 finer. CAC: 1 in 64, 1 finer (6/16).
