1858 Large Letters Cent, MS65
Difficult to Locate Any Finer
1858 1C Large Letters MS65 PCGS. High Leaves Reverse. Closed
E in ONE. The AM in AMERICA is joined at the base, confirming the
Large Letters variety. The lustrous surfaces of the Gem in this lot
exhibit bright reddish-tinged, tan-orange color. The eagle's
plumage is sharply defined; only the leaves on the upper part of
the wreath are a tad soft. Both sides lack spotting, and the few
minor marks in the obverse field are consistent with the designated
grade.Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 9/2013), lot 6227.(Registry values: N2998)
