Description
1821 25C B-3, R.2, XF45 PCGS. Tompkins Die State 6/2. The B-3 variety is readily available but not as frequently seen in this late die stage as in earlier die states. A strong die crack through star 12 to the hair confirms the advanced condition of the dies. Amber-gold, blue, and olive-gray toning covers both sides of this pleasing quarter, where traces of remaining mint luster offset the moderate wear to define the Choice XF grade.
