1883 Trade Dollar, PR63
Elusive Proof-Only Issue
1883 T$1 PR63 PCGS. CAC. Type Two Obverse, Type Two Reverse.
Only 979 Trade dollars were minted in 1883, all in proof format.
The date also has a low survival rate, and the 1883 is more
difficult to locate than other Trade dollar issues of the time
period. The present coin is an attractive Select example, with
sharply detailed design elements and reflective fields. The
surfaces are patinated in vivid shades of electric-blue and
