1798 $1 Large Eagle, Pointed 9, Wide Date, B-12, BB-120, R.4, XF45 PCGS. Bowers-Borckardt Die State IV. The Wide Date with a Pointed 9 and the line star pattern on the reverse identify the scarce BB-120 variety. The BB-120 is seldom encountered in grades above XF. This Choice XF specimen retains much interior detail in the hair a drapery, with traces of original mint luster on both sides. The rose-gray surfaces show a scattering of minor abrasions and an extensive network of die cracks , but no planchet adjustment marks. Population: 2 in 45 (1 in 45+), 3 finer (5/16).
