Description
1879-S Morgan Dollar, MS68
Beautiful Two-Sided Toning
1879-S $1 MS68 PCGS. For collectors seeking a stellar type
coin, an MS68 Morgan dollar is difficult to surpass, and this
1879-S is a standout coin even within that grade. Lovely ice-blue,
yellow-gold, crimson-orange, and violet hues color the left side of
the obverse and encompass the reverse. The strike is bold, and the
preservation is remarkable. A hint of flash in the fields only adds
to the impressive visual display. None are numerically finer
(5/16).(Registry values: P1, N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 253X, PCGS# 7092, Greysheet# 7456)
