Description

1884-CC Silver Dollar, MS67+
Excellent Obverse Color
Few Pieces Known Finer

1884-CC $1 MS67+ PCGS. VAM-4A. 30th Anniversary Green Label Holder. This 1884-CC will appeal to the specialist not only for its color and die characteristics, but also for its Superb Gem surface quality and sharp strike. Sky-blue, sun-gold, and copper-orange toning with ruby red and violet accents adorn the obverse. The reverse is brilliant -- silver-white and untoned. The VAM-4A designation signifies a repunched stand on the 1 in the date, with the "pinned wing" die gouge on the reverse. A die crack above AMERICA branches at the top serif of E, where a raised lump approaches VAM-4B. PCGS has seen only three finer representatives (6/16).(Registry values: P2, N2998)
