Description

1876 50C PR64 NGC. CAC. WB-101, Open Bud. Blue, lavender, and caramel-gold toning covers both sides, limiting the contrast with similarly toned central motifs. Nice mirroring in the fields is visible when viewed at an angle. A pleasing, original near-Gem proof. Sharp stars on the obverse balance slight blending on Liberty's top-most hair strands and at the opposing area of the eagle's left talon. CAC endorsed with great eye appeal. Census: 48 in 64, 27 finer. CAC: 8 in 64, 7 finer (4/16).
