Description

1904 Dollar, Colorful MS66
A Great Registry Offering

1904 $1 MS66 PCGS. Little attention was paid to the 1904 until recent decades, as its status as a condition rarity became solidified. Most examples are poorly struck with dull surfaces and numerous bagmarks. This Premium Gem dollar is a pleasing exception that features beautiful multicolor patina in shades of sea-green, ice-blue, violet, and gold. Luster percolates through the toning. The strike is far above-average despite a hint of softness on the breast feathers. This is a great chance for the advanced collector to acquire one of the finest certified examples of this late-date emission. Population: 26 in 66 (2 in 66+), 0 finer (6/16).(Registry values: P5, N2998)
