Exceptionally Pleasing Near-Gem 1908 Quarter Eagle
1908 $2 1/2 MS64 NGC. Boldly struck and lustrous, this is an exceptionally pleasing specimen that is virtually problem-free throughout. Deep red-orange and green-gold toning adorns the satiny surfaces. This series, along with the sunken relief half eagles of the same design, are very difficult coins to locate in Choice Mint State because of the exposure of the raised fields.(#7939) (Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 288Y, PCGS# 7939, Greysheet# 8603)
