Wonderful Near-Gem 1907-S Double Eagle

1907-S $20 MS64 PCGS. Though this final-year mintmarked Liberty issue has a substantial mintage of over 2.1 million pieces, few representatives offer better preservation or visual appeal than this lovely Choice double eagle. The well-defined devices project from peach-accented yellow-gold fields that exhibit lively luster. A pair of shallow abrasions on the cheek and assorted other marks account for the grade. PCGS has graded just two coins finer (8/07).(Registry values: N2998)
