Description
Rare Very Fine LON DON Elephant Token
(1694) TOKEN London Elephant Token, LON DON VF20 PCGS. Breen-190, Hodder 2-D. Breen's "Godless" London variety, which he listed as "very rare." Most Elephant tokens are Hodder 2-B, which has the reverse legend GOD PRESERVE LONDON. This dark brown piece has several tiny roundish obverse marks and a faded thin reverse abrasions. Rim nicks are noted on the reverse at 5 and 7 o'clock. Listed on page 44 of the 2009 Guide Book.Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 67, Greysheet# 358)
