1851-O $20 XF45 NGC. Variety 1. Five different facilities struck Liberty twenties, and the New Orleans mintmark is most elusive within that quintet. Despite its early date, the 1851-O is encountered more often than other O-mint issues, and is often selected for type purposes. This yellow-gold double eagle displays a quantity of small abrasions consistent with the designated grade. Luster outlines the stars and fills the legends.(Registry values: N991)
