Scarce Type Two Key

1972 $1 Type Two MS65 PCGS. High relief Type Two dies were used to produce an unknown, but undoubtedly small, number of clad Eisenhower dollars in 1972. The issue is the acknowledged key to the series, and can be distinguished by the weakly defined islands off the coast of Florida on the globe. This attractive specimen is sharply struck, with lustrous surfaces under light gold and lavender patina. Population: 45 in 65, 5 finer (10/10).
