Description

1921 Missouri Centennial Half, MS66
Among the Finest Certified at PCGS

1921 50C Missouri MS66 PCGS. Two varieties of the Missouri Centennial half dollar were issued, one with a small, incused 2x4 notation in the left obverse field, meant to symbolize Missouri's stance as the 24th state admitted into the Union, and one without this marking. The plain variety, here represented, was struck second, but was the first to be distributed. This coin displays lovely champagne toning overall, with deeper amber and aquamarine hues seen around the peripheries. The strike is bold and no significant surface abrasions are seen with the unaided eye. Population: 37 in 66, 0 finer (5/14).(Registry values: N4719)
