Description

1891-CC $1 GSA MS61 NGC. CAC. VAM-3. A Top 100 Variety. The mintmark is repunched north, perhaps of greater numismatic significance than the die lump responsible for the "Spitting Eagle" nickname. Brilliant and lustrous with a good strike and a well-preserved reverse. The GSA box and certificate are present, though the latter lacks a stamped serial number.
From The Lenny Reiner Collection, Part V.
