Description

Condition Census 1914-D Barber Quarter, MS67 NGC

1914-D 25C MS67 NGC. A popular issue with a generous mintage of 3,046,000 pieces, probably mostly struck from Colorado silver. Although considered a common date, few examples have managed to survive above the MS65 grade rating. This is a splendid Superb Gem specimen that exhibits bright, satiny luster and a full strike including even the centrils of the stars. The centers are essentially brilliant with shadings of magenta, purple, and antique-gold decorating the border areas. Close and thorough examination of the surfaces fails to disclose any noteworthy marks or luster grazes. Certainly a memorable example destined for the finest cabinet. Population by both services combined: 3 in MS67, none are finer (11/04).(#5668) (Registry values: N4719)
