1889 Eagle, Rare MS61
Mintage of Only 4,440 Pieces
1889 $10 MS61 PCGS. CAC. The 1889 is the lowest mintage
Philadelphia issue from the final 30 years of the series. Just
4,440 business pieces were struck, and PCGS has yet to certify any
examples above MS62. The present sharply impressed sun-gold
representative displays small marks appropriate for the grade along
with one slender abrasion at the top of the eagle's left (facing)
leg. Population: 18 in 61, 6 finer (1/14).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 266N, PCGS# 8715, Greysheet# 9410)
