1878 7TF $1 Reverse of 1878 PR64 NGC. The 7 Tail Feather proof is one of the rarest and most desirable of all proof Morgans. A mere 200 proofs were reportedly struck of this first-year issue. Only the 1878 7TF Reverse of 1879 and the Zerbe and Chapman proofs of 1921 are scarcer. This is one of the highest graded examples we have offered over the past ten years, and few pieces are technically or aesthetically finer. Light golden toning covers each side of this noticeably cameoed example. Population: 14 in 64, 17 finer (1/02).
