1652 Large Planchet Pine Tree Shilling
Noe-9, VF30
1652 SHILNG Pine Tree Shilling, Large Planchet VF30 PCGS. Noe-9,
W-750, Salmon 7a-Diii, R.6. 68.67 gn. No pellets at trunk. A
dove-gray midgrade example of this famous Colonial silver issue.
Mildly wavy, as made, causing moderately uneven wear on the obverse
center and the E in NEW. The reverse legends are virtually complete
while selected outer obverse letters are incomplete due to
mint-issued clips to bring the piece within standard weight.
Refreshingly unabraded. Listed on page 39 of the 2013 Guide
