1795 O-121a Half Dollar, VF25
Two Leaves, Y Over Star, Late Die State

1795 50C 2 Leaves, Y Over Star, O-121a, T-2, R.6, VF25 PCGS. Tompkins Die State 3/1. The scarce Overton-121a (T-2) "Y over Star" engraver's blunder is mentioned on page 210 of the 2019 Guide Book but not separately priced. This is a late die state with a heavy vertical crack between the 95 in the date. The center of the obverse is almond-gold and the remainder of the coin is ocean-blue. Clash marks are prominent near the profile, and the reverse displays moderate adjustment marks, all as made. The only mentionable abrasion is a solitary pinscratch at the top of the wreath.
