On a Silver Dime Planchet
1955 1C Lincoln Cent -- Struck on a Silver Dime Planchet -- AU58
PCGS. Ex: Fred Weinberg Collection. An attractive near-Mint
example of the very scarce and popular off-metal error. The strike
was flush with the collar die at 8 o'clock. The obverse rim is
broad and softly struck between 7 and 1 o'clock. UNUM is tight
against the border. Lustrous and close to brilliant, with only a
whisper of tan patina. The obverse rim shows imperfections near 3
