Description

1811 Half Dollar, MS64, O-110a
Bold Strike, Rich Toning

1811 50C Small 8 MS64 PCGS. CAC. O-110a. R.1. Vibrant blue and red-gold highlights provide a vivid accent to the rich mahogany obverse and the glowing, gray-brown reverse of this near-Gem bust half. Except for diagnostic flatness on a few stars, the obverse elements are sharply detailed. The date slants to the left as required for the O-110a variety. The reverse strike is bold, with a long curving die crack hugging the top of UNITED all the way to the first S in STATES. This is a stately-looking, Choice Uncirculated half dollar with dramatic appeal.
