1978-D Eisenhower Dollar, MS67+
Single Finest Certified
1978-D $1 MS67+ NGC. The final two years of the Eisenhower
dollar witnessed the series return to the original Moon Landing
design. Placement within mint sets insured the 1978-D will always
be available in Mint State, but the issue becomes rare in the MS67
grade, and the present lot is the sole MS67+ example at either NGC
or PCGS. As such, it can claim status as the single-finest known.
Brilliant and lustrous with glimpses of the planchet surface
retained on the Ike portrait. NGC Census: 36 in 67 (1 in 67+), 0
