Lustrous, Fully Struck Final-Year Example
1889 $3 MS64 PCGS. CAC. Only 2,300 circulation strikes were
produced in this final year of issue for the long-running three
dollar series. This near-Gem is sharply defined in all areas and
displays coruscating mint luster. The fields are only slightly
reflective, compared to the confirmed reflectivity seen on many
(most?) earlier years. Minimally abraded. Population: 50 in 64, 37
