Brilliant and Lustrous

1928 50C Hawaiian MS64 PCGS. A slate-gray near-Gem with good luster and a bold strike. While the design element above the C in COOK resembles a pine tree to the naked eye, it is a compass, which represents Captain Cook's achievements as a navigator. Just 10,008 pieces were struck of this desirable Silver Commemorative type, 50 of which were sandblast proof presentation pieces.
