Only One Numerically Finer at PCGS
1878-S $1 MS67 PCGS. CAC. The Morgan dollar was introduced
in 1878 and the San Francisco Mint struck a large mintage of more
than 9.7 million examples that year. The issue is still scarce at
the MS67 grade level today, and finer coins are virtually
unobtainable. This delightful Superb Gem exhibits impeccably
preserved brilliant surfaces, with vibrant mint luster and sharply
detailed design elements throughout. The outstanding eye appeal and
high quality within the grade are confirmed by CAC. Population: 46
