Bold 1878 8 Tail Feathers, VAM-21, MS66
1878 8TF $1 MS66 NGC. VAM-21. A boldly struck Premium Gem, nearly fully struck although the wreath bow has a hint of softness on the highpoints. Warm lilac-gold hugs the borders and frames the brilliant centers. The well preserved obverse is virtually pristine, and the reverse is nearly as clean. Both sides are lightly die doubled, most prominently on the N in ONE. Certified in an old-style NGC holder. Population: 17 in 66, 0 finer (4/07).(Registry values: P5, N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 253H, PCGS# 7072, Greysheet# 7444)
