Description

1807/6 S-272, B-2 Cent, Good 4
Important Small 7 over 6 Cent

1807/6 1C Blunt 1, Small 7 over 6, S-272, B-2, High R.4, Good 4 PCGS. Our EAC grade: sharpness of Good 6, net Good 4. A highly popular variety, the 1807 Small 7 over 6 cent, S-272, enjoys a separate listing in the Guide Book that enhances demand for all surviving examples. A few handling marks and other imperfections appear on the slightly rough, medium brown surfaces of this example that exhibits a full and sharp date. LIBERTY is partially visible while all of the reverse lettering and details are complete. A faint hairline scratch is noted above the hair ribbon. Called Good 5 in the 2007 EAC catalog, this piece is better described as AG3 obverse, Good 6 reverse.
