Popular Branch Mint Issue
1880-O $10 AU53 PCGS. Variety 1. From a mintage of 9,200
pieces, the 1880-O Liberty eagle would be considered a rare coin in
most series, but it is actually one of the more available New
Orleans Mint tens from this time period. The pleasing yellow and
orange-gold surfaces show a number of minor abrasions, but each
side retains traces of original mint luster. Only light wear is
evident on the well-detailed design elements. Population: 23 in 53,
40 finer (5/16).(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 265U, PCGS# 8689, Greysheet# 9492)
