1869/69 Cent, MS65 Red and Brown
Snow-3c, FS-301
1869/69 1C Snow-3c, FS-301, MS65 Red and Brown PCGS. A well
struck orange-red Gem with a blush of lilac on the central reverse
that precludes a Red designation. Moderate carbon near the left
shield corner, above the TE in STATES, and on the U in UNITED
determines the grade. A lustrous example of the popular Guide
Book variety, in decades past regarded as an 1869/8.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 227T, Variety PCGS# 37475, Base PCGS# 2095, Greysheet# 77140)
