Description

1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar, MS66+
Conditionally Rare, First Year of Issue

1916 50C MS66+ PCGS Secure. CAC. Ex: Duckor. Enough of these first-year Walking Liberty half dollars were saved to make the issue collectible through MS65. The average 1916 half dollar survivor falls just short of AU53. This Premium Gem is far above average, both in terms of its technical quality and eye appeal. Each side is well-detailed with soft mint luster that radiates over all-brilliant surfaces. One mark on the outstretched arm prevents an even higher Superb Gem assessment. PCGS has awarded a Plus designation to six Premium Gems, and has graded just five finer representatives. CAC: 37% of submissions for this issue/grade passed. 34 in 66, 3 finer (11/17).
