1878 7TF $1 Reverse of 1878, Type One Obverse, VAM-100-1, MS66
PCGS. A Top 100 Variety. The VAM is undesignated on the holder,
but it meets all the requirements, such as a die doubled E
PLURIBUS, a die line within the A in DOLLAR, a series of rim cuds
near the date, and two die lines within the cap fold. A thoroughly
lustrous Premium Gem with exemplary surfaces. The obverse border
displays sea-green, the central obverse is dappled lavender and
stone-gray, and the reverse shows slightly dusky chestnut-gold
patina.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 253K, Variety PCGS# 133832, Base PCGS# 7074, Greysheet# 25080)
