Description
1899-O Barber Half Dollar, Brilliant MS64
Sharply Struck New Orleans Coin
1899-O 50C MS64 PCGS Secure. Both the strike and luster on
this Choice Barber half dollar are significantly better than one
would typically expect of an O-mint coin. The devices are
unequivocally bold with minor softness confined to the eagle's
arrow fletchings, right (facing) leg, and the innermost portion of
the right wing. Shimmering luster rolls over the fully brilliant
surfaces. Almost certainly deserving of a higher grade if not for a
horizontal mark on Liberty's cheek. Population: 23 in 64 (1 in
64+), 15 finer (2/15).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24M7, PCGS# 6484, Greysheet# 6592)
Weight: 12.50 grams
Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
