Description
1883 Liberty Nickel Pattern
Judd-1714, Gem Proof
1883 5C Liberty Head Five Cents, Judd-1714, Pollock-1919, Low
R.6, PR65 NGC. CAC. The design is similar to the regular-issue
1883 No CENTS Liberty nickel, but LIBERTY is absent on the coronet,
instead spread across the upper obverse rim. The stars are smaller
and arranged 6 x 7. Struck in nickel with a plain edge.
USPatterns.com estimates that about two dozen examples are known in
nickel. This brilliant piece has flashy, deeply reflective fields
on each side and there are no mentionable contact marks.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2AL4, PCGS# 62131, Greysheet# 15086)
