1881-S $1 MS65 NGC, the obverse is mostly brilliant, with a cobalt-blue, lavender, and golden-brown reverse; 1881-S MS65 NGC, a lightly toned obverse yields to a brilliant reverse; 1881-S MS65 NGC, the obverse is light reddish-gold, and the reverse is virtually untoned; 1881-S MS65 ★ NGC, vivid cobalt-blue, lavender, and golden-brown patina occupies the left obverse, leaving the remaining surfaces on both sides brilliant; and an 1881-S MS65 ★ NGC, the toning pattern covers the right obverse, leaving the remaining surfaces brilliant; all five coins are from the Great Falls Collection.(Registry values: P1, N208)Auction Info
