Description

1842-D $5 Small Date -- Ex-Jewelry -- PCGS Genuine. AU Details. Variety 7-E. Die scratches at IB in LIBERTY. Attractive apricot and yellow-gold patina adorns both sides of this D-mint half eagle each of which exhibits sharply defined design features. This coin actually has a good deal of eye appeal despite distributed tiny circulation marks and the PCGS disclaimer.
