Description

1866 10C F-102a, High R.5, MS63 NGC. Both proofs and business strikes were produced from this die pairing, but the presence of heavy clash marks in the field are a strong indication that this is a rare business strike specimen. It is a gorgeous near-Gem with fully lustrous silver surfaces accented by wispy champagne toning. The obverse is fully prooflike and the reverse is frosty. All of the design elements on both sides are fully detailed.
Ex: Central States Signature (Heritage, 4/2006), lot 1230.
