Description

1871-CC Dime, VG10
A Series Key

1871-CC 10C F-101, R.4, VG10 PCGS. Only 20,100 pieces were struck, making the 1871-CC a key issue in the Seated dime series. At first blush, this green-label example appears to be in a higher grade, particularly with full letters on the scroll. Still, the weak detail of the dove-gray reverse denies a Fine grade. Population: 4 in 10, 31 finer (7/19).
Ex: National Money Show Signature (Heritage, 3/2007), lot 464.
From The Poulos Family Collection, Part II.
